Goodbye May

Today was the last day of May, and Truman decided to use this occasion to hold his bottle by himself for awhile whil he ate.

I've been working hard today, so I decided to find a comfy place to nap.

It has finally happened. Today was the day that Truman got ahold of Heidi. She really didn't react at all... what a good cat. She's in for much, much more in the future!

Hide and Seek

Today, Truman thought it would be fun to play hide and seek. I left him playing in the rainforest in his room while I made some phone calls. I could hear him, but when I went to check on him, I could not find him. At first it was a little scary... and then I located the little guy. I have a feeling we're going to be playing this game a lot! After all the hiding and seeking, Truman and I took a walk to Wal-Mart. Hey, it's a start.

When I got home I had a party at my crib... but now we're all partied out.

Nine Monthiversary!

Truman is nine months old today! Wooo hoo!!

I can sit up unsupported for a bit, if Umma and Apba sit me up.

Peas and Doctors and Teeth, Oh My!

What a busy day! Today we took Truman to the pediatrician for this "tummy bug" that has been hanging on for over two weeks. On the walk to the doctor's office, we passed a construction site. Every time Truman heard a jackhammer he laughed hysterically. Every time. By the time we got to the building he was so tired from laughing that he would just laugh and laugh and then sigh. The doctor's office, in and of itself, was an adventure (very busy after the holiday weekend), but we survived, and we learned that Truman now weighs 13 pounds! In the middle of the day during a bottle in which Truman wasn't terribly interested, we made an amazing discovery: Truman's first tooth is coming in!!! Yay! Maybe all of these interesting feeding and tummy issues we've been having have been related to teething! Pictures of the tooth to come as we are able to get them. Also, this being Tuesday, the food du jour was peas. Ick. I mean... yum. What a day!

Sun Protection

Protecting baby skin from that summer sun is important... and apparently going outside in the summer sun is tiring.
