Jacket Weather

When we went out to the dry cleaners today it was, for the first time this season, cool enough that Truman needed to wear a jacket... and socks.

We've got places to go, so I'm wearing a super cool jacket that I recently grew into.

Momma, don't you think I'll be a little cold without socks?

Bear feet. Much better.

Zoo Day Hooray 1-2-3!

Truman turned 13 months old today! We went to the zoo for the first time. We were there awhile, but it felt like we saw very few animals. Aquariums were, by far, Truman's favorite.

We're off to the zoo!

What's this, Apba? An aquarium?

Awesome! Look at those fish go!

Bears? Seriously? Take me back to the fish, please.

Momma, I want some ice. Can we share?

Well, if I have to get it myself, this could take awhile.

We're on a train! Yay!

There's too much to see!

Tigers!

Bye-bye tigers.

I like trains.

Penguins, huh? Pretty cool.

Lunch at the carousel...

This has been fun and all, but can we go home?

First Baseball Game

Tonight, we took Truman to his first baseball game. He seemed to like the walk to the stadium, but overall, I can't say it was his favorite experience. In fact, we've never seen him cry so much in one day. Yes, it was very sad, but we think live sporting events will grow on him. Afterall, he did do the wave tonight, so it can't be all bad.

I'm dressed and ready to go... wherever we're going.

Look! Apba and I match!

This is the only way to travel.

There's a great view? Where?

Umma is holding on tight so I don't get away.

This is not so bad. Fresh air. Lots to see.

Why is everyone looking over my shoulder?

No way! I even have to eat at a ballgame? Boo!

Ah, the safest seat in the house.

Fireworks are scary! No! I can't stand it when the Cardinals do something good!

Looks like we won. That must be why everyone was so loud.

Pssst. Momma. Can we go home now?

I've been waving bye-bye to the stadium as we walked out.

Hmmm. But where is my Apba?

Tooth Number Four

Today Truman's upper front left tooth came in. Whew! No wonder he hasn't been himself lately! Also, Truman's physical therapist brought him some "hip helpers" to keep his hips from spreading out so far. This is supposed to help him crawl on all fours (as opposed to the "commando crawling" that he usually does) and is also supposed to help his hips and legs be in alignment as he starts to walk. He only wears them an hour or two a day, and he really doesn't seem to mind them, although they do make getting around much more challenging.

Oh yes, the canopy of the rainforest is beautiful!

Check out my hip helpers.

They're super cool, right? I heard biker shorts from the '80s were in, so... I figure it's good timing.

A Visit from Grandparents

Today my Halmoni and Haraboji came to visit. They fed me and we played lots of toys. At first I was shy, but then I warmed up. It was really fun!

Standing, Standing Everywhere

Yesterday, while I was out of town, Truman and his Apba had lots of fun. Truman gave David kisses and also fed himself a Cheerio for the very first time! Today, Truman decided that he should find all the good places to stand in the apartment.

This loveseat looks like a good place to stand.

Pretty comfy.

Too bad I don't know how to get down from here. I'm getting tired.

Where else can I stand?

Lunch break. I have rice and Cheerios. Yum!

I can stand up at my crib.

I can stand here, but... why won't Heidi come down and play?

Ah, they make printers just the right height for me.

Oh, here's where we keep the envelopes! I've been looking all over for these!

Playtime Equals Naptime

Truman enjoyed playing today. This afternoon he refused to take his usual nap, but then... well... you'll see.

Hold on... I'm putting the finishing touches on my new facial expressions.

Wheeeee!

YAAAAAAAAAH.

On your mark.... get set...

No way! I'm not sleepy!

Hm... what's next?

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
