David is a Bed

I knew that Apba made a good, comfy bed... but I didn't know Heidi thought so, too!

Seven Months Old!

Our little guy is seven months old today! Wow! Today he had his first in-home appointment with an occupational therapist to assist in his physical development. At this stage, Truman has great head control, but we need to help build his abdominal muscles so he can prepare for sitting. We'll be busy doing the exercises she showed us two to three times a day every day, but it'll be worth it.

Good morning.

What day is it?!

Oh, no! Another month-iversary??

Okay, I've recovered... let's have some breakfast!

Play time!

Apba is home! And he is sooo...

Funny!

Good one, Apba!

Whoa, Mom... situps are hard!

So... those are my feet, huh? And you want me to play with them?

Alright, Mom! Let's get rid of that oxygen sign!!

No Longer a Fire Hazard

Truman played today, and in the evening we welcomed the home medical equipment staff who picked up the following: oxygen tanks, pulse-oximeter, apnea monitor, and many attachments to the above. Yay! Another major milestone! And, our home is no longer as likely to ignite and explode... bonus.

Tummy time lives on.

Hellloooooo.

This bird is resting on my head. The rainforest is a wild place.

Thanks for taking all that equipment away!!

Post-First Night Without the Monitor

We survived the first night without the apnea monitor! It took several check-ins before bedtime, but once everyone was asleep we all slept well the whole night.

I slept so well without the monitor that I think I'll just keep sleeping.

Mom said something about going to take a walk... I'm not so sure. I think I'll wait until she gets going and then take a nap.

No Strings Attached

Today was Truman's appointment at the Apnea Clinic, and they said he's doing great. He weighs 11 lbs. 3 oz., and, as you may have already guessed... his apnea monitor was discontinued, so he is officially wireless for the first time ever!! Georgetown placed a call to our home medical company to come pick up our equipment, so hopefully that will happen in the next few days. The doctor also said that in two weeks we can begin to introduce cereal into his diet. Whoa... solid foods here we come! We're so grateful for the good report. Apparently, flu season and RSV season are also starting to wind down, so one of these days there will be even more freedom, but today we're perfectly happy with freedom from wires.

We're going where? (Once I got over the initial shock of leaving the house, I had lots of fun playing with my toys in the carseat!)

We're home... no more monitor... did Mom tell you?

Blowing bubbles is one of my new skills... pretty good, huh?

Easter

How did Truman celebrate his first Easter? Well, let's see, shall we?

Well, what's this in my bed with me this morning? What?? A rabbit came to visit in the night and I didn't even know?!

Uncle Sam is good at feeding me!

Apba and me just hanging out.

Yep, just hanging out.

Hanging out with the boys is tiring. I think I'll take an Easter nap under this giraffe.

Looks like Mom and Dad are up to something very peculiar.

NAMURT?!?

No, Silly! It's TRUMAN!

Silly, Apba!

Here's me and my loot! (Oh yeah, and Mom.)

Umma and Apba say I'm supposed to be looking for something... where is it?...

Oh, no, Mr. Ribbit, you're in on it, too?

Behind the mirror...

On top of the chests... I'm getting good at this!

I just can't seem to find that last egg. Hmm....

Easter Eve

Family time and some yummy treats were on the menu today.

Oh, good morning. I see you found me on my tummy again. I'm tricky like that.

Is... anyone going to get me out of here?

Yo.

What are all those bunnies doing?? Looks like we're starting Easter a bit early!

A Weekend Visitor

Today, Truman's uncle arrived for a weekend visit! Truman seemed to really enjoy having someone new to play with.

We are going to have some serious fun.

What story are we reading tonight, Mom?

Oh, Bee-bim-Bap. Good choice. Goodnight everyone!

Rainforest Explorer

Today Truman decided to expolore every square inch of his gym. He spent the day rolling, which he's been doing more and more lately. Also, lately, he has begun drooling pretty often, and making a very interesting sound coming from somewhere in his throat (maybe we can catch it on video sometime). Fascinating and somewhat unexpected tricks.

As I entered the rainforest, I decided where to begin...

Would you like to join me?

What in the world is this??

Hmm... pretty neat.

Have any other tricks up your sleeve, Giraffe?

Yes, I did put myself in this position in order to thoroughly explore.

And after a thorough examination of the other side, I am done with the rainforest for today.
