Fun with Friends

Today Truman had a playdate in the park with his friend Brandt. Truman loved running around and playing... mostly randomly and by himself, but it was nice to see a friend when they crossed paths!

Now that we're getting out, it is Truman's favorite thing to "go." He goes to the door several times a day, sometimes dragging his diaper bag saying, "go?... go?" Something like this:

Friday in the Park

Thanks to today's absolutely amazing weather, we were able to take Truman to a park (for the first time ever!!) this afternoon. He explored nonstop the entire time. He even tried to make a few friends. A grand time was had by all, and of course, a long nap followed play time.

This morning I worked on an art project.

I have to concentrate very hard to get it just right.



I ate the tip off this crayon. I've never done that before. Mama didn't seem to like it.

The day got better when we went to the park. GO!

Monday, Bloody Monday

Today Truman got a cut on his finger and proceeded to bleed everywhere. He didn't seem to experience any pain from the cut (which was his first that required a bandaid), but he did learn that it is fun to fingerpaint in blood, bite the bandaids on his finger, remove bandaid after bandaid, bleed on stuffed animals (who now look like they have suffered a very grim fate, indeed), and add red accents to everyone's clothing. Wow. What a morning.

Seriously, though, people. It is wild around here today.

Easter Liberation

Happy Easter, everyone. Guess what? We're out of hibernation! We're calling RSV season over! To celebrate, we took Truman to his first baseball game of the year. You may recall that he was not at all pleased with his first baseball game last summer and cried when anyone cheered. I guess a few months makes a big difference. There was no crying, and he even napped from the 8th inning on, including during the booming fireworks at the end of the game!

Ooooh... an Easter basket.

I have my bat here as a safety belt, but could someone warm me up a little? It's cold!

Big Brother

We wanted to officially announce, as many of you already know, that Truman is going to be a big brother. We've just finished our first trimester, and our youngest bundle of joy is due in October.
