It's the Great Truman, Charlie Brown!

So, the votes for Halloween costume were exclusively "pumpkin" and "baby" (I see how you guys feel about clowns and ghosts), so we went for a combination of the two. Happy Halloween!

Truman decided to trick-or-treat in a pumpkin patch with his bear friends for Halloween. It was a cool night, so he needed to stay bundled up in his baby gear.

Nine Weeks...

This is a big week for Truman. A month-ebration a couple of days ago, a week-ebration today, and a real live holiday tomorrow. WHEW. Again, the life of a celebrity!

Weight: 1440 grams (3 lbs. 2.5 oz.)

Length: 37 cm (14.5 inches)

Two Months Old!

Truman was kind enough to celebrate his two month day by coming out and playing with his parents (lucky for us!), even though he had a couple of friends over.

Weight: 1405 grams (3 lbs. 1.5 oz.)

Milestone!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! In late breaking news: Truman weighs, as of tonight, 1395 grams, or (drum roll, please...) 3 pounds 1 ounce!! That's right... he has passed the 3 pound mark, thereby doubling his birth weight. Congratulations to both people who voted for the week of October 22nd in the poll (if you wish to make your identities known so that you may gather accolades, please leave a comment so we can all give you a pat on the back)! Go, Truman, go!

What a big day! When we arrived we noticed that Truman was wearing clothes! You may also notice being able to see a bit more of Truman's adorable face? He has now graduated to a high flow nasal cannula, which is a big step. But the biggest news of all is that David got to do a lot of new things with Truman today including holding him! YAY!

Seven Weeks

What a big week for our seven week old pumpkin! Notice anything different? Truman decided he was tired of that giant tube in his mouth, so he took it out! Now, we are all able to see his lovely lips, but not his cute little nose. One day, we'll see them at the same time!

Moving Day

We got a rather unexpected call this morning that today would be moving day. Time for Truman to take a trip to visit with some new doctors, so we hurried in to be there for the adventure. I guess Truman was ready to make the move from suburbian living into the city. After all, his parents like to travel and have new adventures, so... why not?

A Very Good Day

We never know what a day in the NICU is going to hold, and today it held something very good... wonderful, actually. Just yesterday, in an e-mail from a fellow member of a preemie organization, I was asked if I'd gotten to hold Truman yet. "Not yet," I replied, "But that will be a very good day."
